Mixed media on canvas works for me. I use old encyclopedias and textbooks, my kid’s homework ( I ask ), bits of fabric and acrylic paint to construct my images. My studio is a mess.

I also do textile collage with a sewing machine using fabrics bought, found and scrounged, and I stitch the surface, a lot, to add another layer of color and line.
